Last week I rented a Norwex booth at our Winter Farm Show. This was my first trade show!  Wow, some bad weather hampered the traffic a bit, but yet I must have talked to several hundred people.  For four of the days, I manned the store alone..long days.  One day I had a helper, so I could wander through the show a bit and actually eat a meal without having to swallow a bite of sandwich hurriedly.  Talking to potential customers with bread in my teeth,  just didn’t seem  cool.  After all, I am selling antibacterial toothbrushes.  Because Norwex is a new business in this area, I had to explain over and over, that it is best to clean homes and offices with just our microfiber cloths and mops and water.  For many, this just didn’t seem like “cleaning”.  No chemical smells?  After all clean smells like PineSol or bleach.  Not so, clean has no smell.  You mean you can cut grease with just water and a cloth?  Yes, this is fantastic..the cloths just gobble up grease.  You mean, I can get a shine on my windows without window cleaner or vinegar and newspaper?  Our antibacterial microfiber cloths are washable and reusable, so save your money spent on window cleaners and paper towels.  Your windows will shine like no other and presto..no streaks either!  Oh, I had so much fun proving that my claims were really on target.  I heard comments like, “Was that butter you put on the mirror?  I can’t believe this.  It’s gone, shine is back!”   It was fun to talk to the skeptics, especially.  “Old school” taught us we needed harsh chemicals to kill the germs!  No, we only spread the germs around with chemical cleaners.  Our mops and cloths remove 99.9% of the bacteria from smooth surfaces.  It is all in the microscopic fibers and the immense amount of the fiber in a cloth.   I must admit, I was a bit skepical when my daughter introduced me to these amazing cloths.  Once I got them in my hands and used them, I became a “true believer”.  Now our grandchildren and our pets wouldn’t be playing on floors smeared with harmful chemicals!  Yes, it was an interesting week for me, although a bit exhausting.  I will be doing it again next year,  because I feel passionate about educating people that using harmful chemicals in personal care and cleaning it not good.   Let’s go green and save money.  It is the new wave!
